The head of Fars Industry Organization referred to the construction commencement of  a production plan in the Special Economic Zone and continued: The sodium cyanide production plan in the Shiraz Special Economic Zone, with an annual production of 4,000 tons and an investment of 5,000 billion rials, will provide employment for 200 people directly and  3,000 people indirectly .
Referring to the application of this production plan, he continued: Sodium Cyanide, the  product of the plan implemented in an area of ​​about 47,000 square meters, is used in gold mining.
Overhaul ceremony of sodium cyanide(with the purity of 98%) production project by ammonia gas method for the first time in Iran, with a capacity of 6000 thousand tons per year and employment of 200 people directly and 3000 people indirectly was carried out by the governor of Fars on Monday 09/Feb/2021 in the special economic zone of Shiraz. This production unit is the largest production unit of sodium cyanide in the country, which will be constructed for the first time in Iran producing Sodium Cyanide with this purity. The products of this plant are used in gold mines, paint and resin industries and other similar applications. The plant will be constructed with a credit of 550 billion Tomans and an investment of 20 million Euros.
